ロサンゼルスタイムスは、この人事案件は決定済みであり、ヒラリーの国務長官就任の正式な発表（a formal announcement）は感謝祭の後になると述べています。

日本でもヒラリーの背後に親日（pro-Japan）とは言えなかったビル・クリントン前大統領が控えているわけですから、この人事についてはさまざまな意見が出ると思います。

Is the Secretary State position more important than a Senate seat for the former First Lady?  Anyhow Hillary Clinton must perform better than Condoleezza Rice.
